Who doesn’t love New York City in the spring? The warm weather, the sights and sounds are all here for you to explore. If you’re visiting and don’t know where to go, here are 7 fun things to do in NYC this spring:
- Central Park
Central Park is not your average park! There’s a multitude of fun activities you can do here in the spring. When the weathers nice, take a stroll in the Ramble – Central Park’s 38-acre woodland area composed of winding pathways, rocks and streams between 73rd and 78th streets.
If you are looking for peaceful area to sit and relax, pop on over to the park’s Conservatory Garden. The Garden is composed of six acres of beautiful seasonal plants arranged in English, French, or Italian styles. Free from runners and bicyclists, the Garden exudes a quiet, calm atmosphere that’s an ideal spot to take a relaxing afternoon walk.
If you’re visiting in late spring, head to the park for some evening entertainment at Shakespeare in the Park at Delacorte Theater, an outdoor theater that will make you think you’re watching an original Shakespeare production.
- Tribeca Film Festival
Are you a movie buff? In mid-April when spring is in full bloom, go to Manhattan to attend the annual Tribeca Film Festival. You’ll get a chance to meet some of your favorite celebrities and view hundreds of new and diverse films from all over the world. However, the Festival is much more than just movies. During the Festival there are various Tribeca Talks, free panels for working and aspiring filmmakers, and a family festival street fair to explore.
